I don’t know about you, but when I was a teenager and young adult, I led an adventurous life and when times were tough I needed to borrow money on occasion. I think many of us have been in that boat. Once or twice, I even took out a payday loan. However this article is about a loan I did not take out. Now what is going on here? My parent’s house had been receiving call after call from supposed detectives or investigators saying I had charges against me and they were putting out warrants etc. ( These are scare tactics to get information and money from you.) Today I actually answered the phone, and it was a recorded message claiming to be ChexSystems. Now ChexSystems is a company that many banks go to to check your credit, see if you have bounced checks, etc. According to wikipedia, Eighty percent of all commercial banks and credit unions in the United States use ChexSystems as a step in the consumer checking or savings account application process. But this is not the same company, although they may like you to assume so. Secondly, I called the number back and when I asked who it was or [...]

Via Best Education Degrees Then vs. Now: How things have changed from 1982-2012 Those kids today… you may be the parent of a teenager and wondering what you’ve gotten yourself into. But do you have it worse than parents of the past? We all know that kids will be kids, but how much do they change over the course of a generation? The typical teenager in the early 1980s was rocking a Walkman and had just seen E.T. Today’s average kid? He has a cellphone in his pocket, he listens to Rihanna, he’s less likely to finish high school and he’s more likely to practice safe sex.
Is it about numbers or about quality? Networking is about communication and marketing. I wish I knew back in the day, what I know today. Yesterday, I was in the numbers game, but now I know what matters or at least I am a better judge of it. Wisdom comes with age and experience. You can build a massive network within very little time if you want to, but as research shows many failing businesses spend all of their money in advertising right off the bat instead of focusing on their first few customers. The future is growing from what has been done and dreamt of in the past both openly and not so public. Point based systems have been around for several years. Examples of this can be found with credit cards, membership rewards programs, frequent traveler privileges, etc. But as some might say, it is messy. If you recall when the internet was first started it lacked the refinement and standards of what we know it as today. Through time and dedication all projects and ventures can find their most suitable shapes, form and structures, but the best and most successful keep up with change, become refined and maintain their [...]

Now is the perfect time to start of that goal you keep talking about. so many people wait for the right opportunity, but it never comes or they don’t see it for all the distractions and countless duties they perform every day. People often ask me how I find inspiration or where I get my ideas and the shortest and simplest answer is from just about anything. You see anything can give you that spark you need to start the creative engine. You just have to know where to look and secondly you have to be looking, but not too hard because some things are in plain sight and if you look for the smallest details you might miss the big picture. Many writers use analogies, metaphors and stories to present an idea for you. One of the most challenging jobs for any writer is to use words so magically that they conjure the very image of their meaning into your mind. So if you want to improve your skills of building vision in the mind’s eye, increase your vocabulary and read on a daily basis. If you read books that are above you, do not give up hope. When [...]

Currently we are researching possible apps and resource materials to help in the development of the Kaizen Dreams website. So far we have been customizing it and the other websites in the Silver Artifice Network to make them sleeker, more professional looking and easy to follow. Every day we are integrating new plugins and trying them out to see which will best suit our needs. One of the things we are working on is Search Engine Optimization or SEO, which we will be doing a article on in the coming weeks to help those unfamiliar with the term to become more familiar. Our goal is to also cover areas of SEO that not everyone may think of and perhaps even a seasoned web developer may be able to gain something. _______________________________________________ One of the important steps is integrating important and crucial keywords into your articles. Here are a few things to keep in mind: You don’t want to be simple or vague. You do not want to use the most common keywords alone, remember the competition. Be as specific as possible. For example: instead of “photography”, you would use something like “oklahoma photography” The more precise you can get the [...]

What would you do if you could learn significant and valuable skills everyday? What if you could do it at an affordable cost or even for free? Guess what.. YOU CAN!!! The table is set and all you have to do is eat. Thank you to all the loyal supporters and readers. As many of you know we are working on a constant basis to do research into new ideas and resources so that not only can we learn and improve everyday, but so that we might be able to help our clients, students, friends, colleagues and those in our network as well. I was on facebook earlier today and came across this video of a visiting professor to the University of Phoenix. Watch the way he has his presentation synced with his lecture. I thought it was pretty cool, and wanted to share it with you. In addition he has some great thoughts on leadership and personal growth. Is the dead hand of tradition holding us back? Click to view… Over the past several months we have found several websites with free education, free degree programs and such, so if you are going to school, in business, want to learn [...]

On June 25th, 2011 My grandmother passed away. We thought she was getting better, but then things just changed and we were left with questions and memories. Every day I think about things, I have songs, that she used to sing, echo through my mind. There are people in our lives that are closer that we may possibly realize until they are gone. My grandmother was deaf, due to an ear infection she had as a child. Yet, at 3 years old, she began playing the piano as she could feel the vibrations and somehow hear the deeper tones. She did not know she was handicapped until someone told her. She read lips to understand what others were saying and her own speech was very unique in it’s own. I will never forget her voice or her sweet words of encouragement and support. She taught me many things in life and her passing helped to bring some forgotten things to the surface. Sarah Leona, as she was called by family and dear ones, was my grandmother. In death she brought me and my father closer. I was working that Saturday evening, and for some strange reason I had a desire [...]

How can you make money from your website or blog? What are others doing that allows them to make a little extra cash or even supplement their bank accounts? There are several companies out there right now that offer several kinds of advertisement as a way for you to monetize your website or rather make money from advertisements placed on your web page. There are several kinds of advertisement online. The main types are: Affiliate Ads, Contextual, Test Links, Image Ads, Video Ads, and Reviews You can have all manner of shapes and sizes of advertisement on your websites. Each advertiser you sign up with should already have several sizes available, but just in case I suggest visiting Google Adsense’s Ad Format Page to see some Typical Ad sizes and decide which sizes are best suited for your blog or website before you begin, so you can keep design in mind with functionality. Here are some recommended advertising providers that you can check out and decide what system works best for you. Something to keep in mind though are that sites like Pulse360 have specific requirements on traffic that visits your website. So I highly recommend doing your research. I also [...]
